Bexley IASS workshop: Phase Transfer
Does your child or young person have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) currently?
Are they preparing to move in 2026 from:
- Early Years to Primary
- Primary to Secondary
- Secondary to Post-16 education
Bexley SEND IASS will be running an online workshop for parent carers to help you understand Phase Transfer and what it means for you and your child.
This session is designed for parents who may be asking:
- Do I get a say in which school my child goes to?
- Can I ask for a special school or specialist provision?
- What if the school I want says it cannot meet my child’s needs?
- What if the local authority names a school I do not agree with?
- What happens if key deadlines are missed?

Time: 7pm start – 8.30pm finish
Venue: Online via Microsoft Teams
This session is suitable for parents and carers of children and young people with an EHCP only.

Bexley IASS Parent Carer Champions – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
IASS needs volunteer parents and carers to support IASS to engage with the wider SEND community, with the aim of being a champion for the IAS Service.
Whether you can spare an hour a week, day a week or more, we would love to hear from you.
You may be asked to promote the service in your local school or college, to co-produce some of our parent carer downloadable advice leaflets.
There’s plenty to get involved in!
This is your opportunity to be a part in shaping and developing the IASS service to suit SEND family’s needs.
If you have a good understanding of SEND and / or lived experience and you are feel you want to be part of supporting IASS in the delivery of a high quality service, contact us to discuss.
